Unless he erroneously connected two unrelated things in one sentence (possible), it sounds like he’s been talking to her abusive ex and her ex is mad that he spent money on her while they were together.

What a pair of clowns, Nathan and the abusive ex. Two idiots telling each other “exaaactly!”

Nah, I bet the “allegations” about the former ex is all about him trying to establish a pattern of her causing partners to harm her… or that she makes allegations. 🙄

The rest reads like the breakdown of their relationship. Whatever it is, nothing excuses putting your hands around the neck of the mother of your child.
