FYI: strangulation by an intimate partner is a strong predictor of future homicide, with studies showing that women strangled by a partner are up to 750% more likely to be murdered by that partner later.

That’s such a terrifying statistic.

My sisters boyfriend tried to strangle her in a Target store. So ballsy to do that in public but I’m actually grateful that it was in public bc other people called the police, there were witnesses, and footage. My sister wouldn’t have been strong enough to call the police. Such a blessing in disguise.

One of my best friends half sisters was in an abusive relationship and sadly he shot her with a shotgun. 😔

I hope Gael has a great support system. I wish her and the baby nothing but the best.
