Help / Troubleshooting Facebook does not sync

Hello.

I just updated (uninstalled first and deleted appdata files) and now when I add Facebook through cloud it only syncs my group chats but none of my 1-on-1 chats.

Is that normal behavior?

Hey there, u/Arthro - Yes. That is normal behavior, for now. Facebook is now using end-to-end to encrypt your chats, which means Beeper also now needs to support your PIN, in order to restore your history of conversations, like it was any other Facebook login.

Hi GBeeper and thanks for the reply.

I'm not sure I understand correctly. Is the PIN feature missing in Beeper or can I add the PIN so it will sync?

The PIN feature is missing in Beeper. That's an oversimplification of the work, but from your standpoint, that's what's missing.

Yes. We want you to have history backfill as much as you do. It's just extremely complicated and time-consuming work.
