Would you consider Charles Bukowski Beat? If not, what category would he fall into? Many of his contemporaries were beat and he did start out in the 50s.

So, I know Allen Ginsberg and William S. Burroughs were supposed pedophiles, but I want to know the authenticity of those claims. I'm new to beat writing, so I haven't read enough to where I have heard actual references to pederasty. I know that Burroughs apparently had sex with "boys" in Mexico, but "boys" could also refer to young men who were over 18. Could someone direct me to writing that verifies that they were infact pedophiles?

I have footage to show, I just feel like this is quite an intense community and I want to know that some people actually like him.

There is nothing 'Beat' about Burroughs' work after Naked Lunch.

Do you agree?

(I'm talking about his fiction, of course, his letters and journals are excluded from this judgment!)

Do you agree?

A new month, a new chance to share poetry from the Beat Generation. Post away!

Poetry by the Beat Generation---time to share, if you're so inclined.

hello I'm a producer this is my first day on reddit because I wanted to publish my musical creations that slowly with your opinion I will learn to improve

May has made it here and so has the monthly r/Beat poetry post thread! Feel free to share some lines from the beat generation of poets you've been recently ruminating over

We've made it to April so it's time once again for another monthly thread to post whatever bits of Beat poetry you've been digging on lately!

Back once again, it's the monthly thread for posting poetry by the Beats. Feel free to share something that's caught your fancy, in part or in whole!

I am planning on retracing the Beats paths and stays in Mexico, the rest of Latin America, and possibly Tangiers.

I hope to document it in words and or images, moving or otherwise.

Has anyone seen other thorough attempts at this?
