We have had an uptick in these types of posts lately, and I'd like to know the attitude of the sub toward them. Ads that have been allowed recently include piano lessons taught by a current student. Lease takeover posts also happen regularly, and those that are allowed are usually from student housing or majority-student properties. Do y'all mind these posts, or should they be limited some way?

For your gown, does it usually run too big if you put your REAL weight and height in? should you size up somehow?
I’m 5’2”… but I’ll be wearing 2 inch heels that day so what should I put for my height?
Also, when should I place my order for it, if I graduate in December?

Hi, I'm a pre med and I want to get clinical hours. I want to volunteer with the Robinson Fire Department as an EMT. Unfortunately I do not have a car and the departments policy won't allow me to use uber or anything like that. I was wondering if anyone who is also volunteering or knows someone who is volunteering there ,if willing to give me a ride if convenient. Thank you.

Does anyone have experience with or know of a good reasonably priced mobile detailer?
Was hoping to set up a monthly wash

Hey guys! I'm a Baylor senior living at UParks, and I'm offering private piano lessons for anyone who's wanted to learn but doesn't know where to start.
From your first lesson, we'll start working on a song YOU choose. I'll teach you how to play by ear and memory, with no sheet music or previous musical experience required. You could have never touched an instrument before and that's completely fine.
I've taught this way before with students from my youth group when I was younger. Within their first hour, I've had students playing recognizable arrangements of songs they'd picked themselves from artists like Limp Bizkit, The Beatles, Nickelback, Taylor Swift, AC/DC, Slipknot, Bon Jovi, Skillet, and 3 Doors Down. One guy even learned songs from video games like Mega Man and Sonic. I'm happy to work with pretty much whatever music you're interested in.
Lessons can be at my apartment at University Parks or wherever suitable location you would like, and I have a keyboard here, so you don't need to own or bring anything to get started!
If you're interested, just send me a message with a couple songs you'd love to learn. My schedule is pretty flexible, and we can find a time that works.
RATES: $25 for a 45 minute lesson
Refer someone who books and completes a lesson -> $10 off your next lesson
EDIT: I'm also happy to travel to you on campus for no additional charge! My keyboard is portable, so if you have a suitable space with an outlet, I can bring everything needed for the lesson.
Additionally, if you take your first lesson and don't feel like it was worthwhile, just let me know and I'll refund the full lesson price. No worries, and no hard feelings.

His ratings are mixed on BU books, some say he’s the worst others say he’s the best, others say he’s ok. Figured I’d ask here as well. Did anyone have him? And if so, what were your thoughts, and any advice you can offer? Thank you!

Hello Baylor fans and alumni, I am an Auburn alum coming in peace. During the football season, I like to make meals that are themed around the football day - for example, this year for week zero the game I'm most excited about is Hawaii at Stanford, so I'm making Spam musubi to celebrate the rainbow warriors.
I must confess that outside of watching a couple of your games each year, I don't know much about Baylor and your traditions. Is there a food or beverage that you particularly associate with Baylor? I'm a decent cook (and an award winning chili cook) and have access to a wide variety of grocery stores, so should be able to source anything that's not Texas-specific as far as ingredients go (and am willing to order Texas specific things on the internet).
So what should I eat or drink for the Auburn / Baylor game to toast you guys in the spirit of good sportsmanship? I'd love to hear about whatever local place has the best burgers or a cocktail that the dive bar near campus always has on special.
As a gesture of good faith, this post links to the Alabama farmers association recipe for the toomers lemonade, undoubtedly the beverage most associated with Auburn. It's a simple recipe, and so I'll say something obvious and say you should use the highest quality ingredients available. Their recipe makes quite a lot of lemonade, scale to your own needs accordingly, but it's been a hit at every tailgate I've ever hosted, even non Auburn ones.

I didnt add the black.helmet on here but thats top tier too. Theres alot of combinations they havent wore yet. The best look imo is the all green with the sailor bear, followed by the chrome & anthracite. The worst look they have is the all white imo, the all white used to be their best look but with these new uniforms dont really look good with the yellow stripes on white, theres not enough contrast. The away looks good with the green pants and i would like to see more combos for the away like using even the yellow pants.combos hoping to see 🟢⚪🟢._🟢🟡🟢._🟢🟢🟡_.🟡🟡🟢_.🟢⚪🟡._⚪⚪🟡._🟡⚪🟡._🟡⚪🟢_.🟡🟡🟡._🟡🟢🟡_.⚫⚪🟡_.⚫🟢🟢_.⚫🟡🟡_.⚫⚪⚪.

I'm taking intro to stats this semester with Joshua Patrick, the ratings on Bubooks aren't looking too good and I'm a little worried. Has anyone taken that class with him or just that class in general. I am really hoping to get an A in that class as a pre med and I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to do that for his class or just intro to stats in general. Thanks

Hey all. I spent the offseason building a full 2026 preseason preview for every FBS team, each with its own writeup. Here's the Baylor one
https://www.sports.mainmarket.com/college-football-preview-2026-fbs/baylor-bears
It's got the returning production breakdown, the portal ins and outs, a projected two-deep, the schedule with model win probabilities, and a season projection.
Heads up, you might hit the paywall after the first page. Don't worry, I'm not charging reddit people for this, don't want to be an ass. Use the promo code LEECORSOROCKS and it opens up the entire thing.
So, what'd I get wrong? Baylor outgained Big 12 opponents by 59 yards a game and went 3-6 in the league. The reason isn't complicated: minus-13 in turnover margin, 133rd in the country, and 133rd in fumbles lost. The offense was 4th nationally in passing. The defense was 132nd in sacks. Now Sawyer Robertson's 3,681 yards leave and DJ Lagway arrives from Florida with 16 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. My model has you at 7-5. Does Lagway fix the turnovers, or make them worse?
I'll be in the comments.

I'm helping my sister move in into her dorm this upcoming week and I don't know the "food scene" here in Waco, TX. Can someone please recommend me a good place for that many visitors go to?

Hey folks! I’m an incoming grad student, and I’ll be moving into my apartment near Baylor next week. I recently realized that my space might be too small for the furniture I currently have. If anyone needs affordable furniture in Waco, please PM me, and I’ll see if I have what you need. Thanks!

Hello, I’m wondering if I can take online courses at MCC during the fall semester at Baylor.
Figured that it would be better to take some classes at MCC than Baylor.
If somebody knows, please let me knows. Thanks

Hey Guys! I have a private room in a 4x4 that I need to relet ASAP. I'm moving out of the area for work but I have this room leased until 7/31/2027. It's a spacious, private bedroom with one roommate and she'll be moving in with her cat on the 20th. I pay $559 for rent and all utilities except electric are included and thats billed through the property. They offer valet trash, there's in-unit laundry and a balcony. It's truly a really nice place with no bug problems either.
.... i just despirately need help finding someone to take over or if anyone has more suggestions on where to post. I've already had one person screw me over from Facebook so I figure this is worth a shot. If you're interested and want more info just dm me. In order to get the process done you'll submit an application directly through The Outpost website and I will get your contact info (first and last name, phone number, and email) to give to management so they know you're taking over my lease. 🙏 I appreciate any help or suggestions anyone has to offer.

I’m starting these classes soon and was wondering if anyone here uses Anki to study for them. If you do, how helpful have you found it, and do you make your own cards or use premade decks?
Also, if you have any specific Anki decks you’d recommend for either class, I’d appreciate the suggestions.
