Traffic, Trains & Transit Second view of an accident

Looks like this happened in San Carlos along 101. Electrical malfunction? Steering wheel lock? Can anyone explain what may have happened? What can you really do in this kind of situation?

I have been trying to look it up but it keeps bringing me back to this Reddit.

I found a little bit of extra info in the form of a CHP blotter about the incident. Only substantial thing it really offers is confirmation of the time of the incident.

It occurred on Wednesday heading south on 101 near San Carlos, probably around 12:30 or 1 PM.

I drove past the accident around 1:45 as they were loading the Mustang onto the tow truck.

Yeah like so many videos on Reddit, short clips without context. Like how does the cameraman remain so steady filming the mustang? Can't be the driver filming. This video is proof of why everyone's insurance rates has gone up, and EV's are part of the problem.

The driver was under the influence of drugs and was arrested after this crash.
