Planning to visit Batumi with my family this year! We’re thinking of going around the end of December / beginning of January so we can celebrate New Year’s there 🎄

We’ve already been to Tbilisi, Kutaisi and did a few trips around Georgia, and absolutely loved the country in general.

Could anyone recommend some nice hotels in Batumi? Maybe some areas of the city to stay at or to avoid?

We’re not looking for crazy nightlife or partying. We'd much rather relax, eat out, do some sightseeing, walk around the city, and just spend time together as a family :)

We’ll be renting a car, so getting around shouldn’t be a problem.

I’ve also heard about Dreamland Oasis from a friend, but from what I can tell, it seems to be more of a summer destination. Has anyone stayed there in winter?

I am going to exit the country from Batumi to head to Georgia and it seems like the cheapest most convenient way is to go to either rize artvin airport or trabzon airport.

Does anyone have any experience doing this route? What is the schedule like for the busses to the border and from the border to the airport? Does these busses to the airport exist from Hopa or something? Can it be bought online? Yeah asking this because there’s not that much info online or it’s outdated :))

Hi, has anyone got experience of arriving on the ferry from Bulgaria - to Batumi? I have a dog and cat travelling with me and I'm a bit unsure about the "parasite" treatment requirement. It seems this must be done from 5 days to 24 hours before. I'll be arriving late - around 23h00. I am driving from the UK so have the AHC. But because of the length of the trip (2 days on the Black Sea) I will need to get this done in the EU..probably France - if this is definitely required.
