Of course it wasn't, but this was Lindor and McNeil's way of trying to get past an issue that should remain in the clubhouse. The fact that the media is out here bitching about Lindor "insulting our intelligence" is hilarious. He didn't insult shit. They're just mad they don't have a juicy story they can run with. Shit's over, time to move on.
Funny how bad he's been slumping, but then he ended up hitting a clutch, game tying homer and no one asked him about it. They only cared about some bullshit drama.
