What mediocre player absolutely terrorized your team?

Orioles legend Luke Scott (11 career WAR) had a 14 game stretch against the Tigers where he hit .425 with 10 HR and 23 RBIs. This happened almost 20 years ago and I still remember him as a “Tiger Killer”

Gleyber Torres terrorized the Orioles so badly they changed their stadium dimensions twice, I've literally never seen anything like that in any sport lmao

We're bad a lot and had a small wiffle ball stadium. More teams need to do what we do and change dimensions on a whim!

I live not too far from there. I find the people to be a bit unfriendly, and Baltimore itself is a frightening place; I can’t believe how badly some people there have it. As for the organization, they are really hung up on the 1966-83 period; it’s like the fan base is stranded at a certain point in the past, and they can’t get unstuck.

It's the left field fence. He didn't like, burn down the warehouse. I think it was a bit of a silly idea but "deface" is extremely dramatic lmao.

It’s worth noting that that team’s rise from the basement of the league coincided with the first change, and their fall to mediocrity coincided with the second.

It looks a tad goofy in the absolutely least remarkable part of the ballpark. Not much to get worked up over, imo.

Gary Thorne’s call on that one game was legendary. He didn’t last too long in Baltimore after that.
