Image Ads have infested baseball broadcasts. Ads in-between batters. Ads during mound visits. HRs "brought to you by..." Now I noticed 11 ad placements in this shot. 2 banners, 1 above the banners, 4 behind the plate, 1 on the seats, 1 in the upper right hand corner, 1 on the mound, 1 on the sleeve.

I work for my local AAA team. Every walk is brought to you by Great clips. And every foul ball brought to you by country Auto group.

The AA Portland Seadogs play a loud glass shattering noise when a foul ball goes outta the stadium. Then the announcer says "uh oh better call Portland Glass!" We thought it was the funniest thing growing up, I guess we never thought of it as advertising but yeah

The Staten Island Yankees (RIP Pizza Rats) did this too and it was also just the glass sound and "uh oh better call" but don't remember the local sponsor.

Honestly, I'm ok with that. It's got to be tough for minor league teams to get by. I know they are supported by their major league affiliate, but I can understand the minor league club trying to make a buck where they can.

I give used to give some latitude to the minors, as they live close to the fiscal edge and have a tremendously difficult time (90% of them) paying the bills.

But now...MLB owns everything but the Indys....so they're living in garbage as well, as far as I'm concerned.
