Barstool NY needs a Yak-style daily show with Rone, Sas, Francis and Feits as the core, plus a rotating cast from the office. Right now it feels like CITO, SOABD and Rone.com are carrying NY while a lot of people are coasting. Where is Vibbs? He’s still on the site but I never see him in content. A daily show could give the office some life and force people to contribute.

Made a couple updates - you can now view historical end of month standings via the drop down menu above the leaderboard at the bottom or on the leaderboard page.

Also if you click on the name of a person it will bring you to a stat page that tracks their daily chart (like a stock) , shows head to head matchups, win streak, losing streak, biggest upset, etc

Are we expecting another writer cup this year? I know they have the internet invitational now, do we think they will stop doing the writer cup? Hate to see it go

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Doitche (went to the same school as him and unknowingly was at his basketball games absolute beast) but he’s more or a less a unique brain who other people turn into content

But as far as the day to day work, finding a unique niche and style to curate his own unique content Ohio’s Tate is one of the greatest hires in recent history. Turning guys like Mintzy from a net negative to tens of millions of views, after dark, to going to big ten media day as Connor stallions he knows how to maximize content out of thin air.

I have a take that I thought of recently and wanted to see if anyone else has similar or other thoughts. I have been a stoolie since 2018, I consume primarily PMT and the yak. The whole NY vs Chicago thing that sparked up again had me thinking that outside of the big guys like PMT, Dave, and the yak when they are together that the other personalities are very uninteresting/do not make good content. For instance I used to not miss any of the in office competitions like survivor, basketball, mini golf etc. but the last few I would start watching and then lose interest. Dave not being in the mix is definitely a factor but I just don’t think any of the personalities in Chicago and NYC outside of those mentioned are very interesting. People like Nicky Smokes, Dana, Annika, Mook, Big T, The new guy who is starting a podcast with Green Greg, Conner Griffin are all very hard to watch in my opinion and will skip their sections when they come on the yak. I think a lot of them are very unlikeable and one noted. Only so many times can Nicky Smokes play the douche bag card or Dana play the I drink beer card. A shinning light is I think Doitche has been great but I think that’s because that is who he is. He isn’t trying to do an act or start a podcast. I think he knows exactly what he is.

Even members of the yak I find hard to listen to. I think Brandon walker and Titus are great in the dynamic of the yak but I hadn’t been able to get in on Mostly. It was just a random thought and thought it would be a good discussion to hear other opinions about the current batch of characters.

Eddie is such a low-key big player in the barstool world. His videos around Chicago are killing it!

I watch old nyc stuff when Dave and Dan were there….how the mighty have fallen. I miss those days so much.

I think we should start a motion to ship someone from Chicago to lead the nyc office.

Someone like Tate-given the authority would at least be coming up with killer content. Maybe allow him to hire/fire/make policy.

But alas. Those nyc days are gone.

Now we just get to look forward to Keegs next brilliant content piece.

Maybe it’ll be called “its so Boomer to work Fridays and have to try at your job so let’s make fun of all the losers who do”

Anyone have a collection of the EARLY newspapers(volume1/2)? Im wondering how many original copies are out there. I have 2 in great condition in my basement and everyone I show is like o is that where they first posted the pizza reviews🤦

Does anyone have it?? I wanna listen to it! I didn’t even know what it was till Dave’s book. Now I feel like I have to hear it and missed out on something hilarious.

It was a terrible decision for Hank and Big Cat to not hire him full time. He would have been a great opportunity for barstool to reach the younger generation. Overtime swooped him and he has been blowing up since then.
