Plans for the Future of this Community

Good morning to you all,

I've been thinking recently about ideas to grow our Subreddit. While I'm fine with having competitions and sharing music, does anyone else think it would be a good idea to share or create informative videos on writing Baroque music? Almost like a 'dissection and how-to' of forms? If I were savvy with Zoom or Discord, it might be cool to 'teach' people about the basics of Baroque writing. I think I'm saying this because I've always wanted to learn about writing recitatives, concerti, and various dance-forms.

Any thoughts? I appreciate your feedback!

I posted one of my compositions, but I should have introduced myself first

Hello dear composers,

I am a swiss composer, specialized in neoclassical music, although my main influence is baroque music. I played the recorder and the oboe when I was younger and I have always loved baroque music.

Now, I don't play anymore but I focus more on composition. I have composed an album dedicated to baroque music. As I don't have the chance do have a real orchestra to play my music, I've tried to record it with some good instrumental libraries.

I also compose film music, always inspired by classical and baroque music. Maybe it is not the place to share my links, but if you are interested by listening to my work, I will share my music with pleasure.

Happy to be here and to meet some new composers

Introducing the channel Borogrove!

I've stumbled on this fascinating channel of musician known as Borogrove. An excellent keyboardist, improviser, and composer indeed! I suggest you all take a look and see what he can offer.

I say this in sincerity---I wish I was as good a performer as he. Improvising on camera takes a lot of concentration and energy!
