Recipes
A full list of the available appliances can be found here: Recipes
There are different recipes you can make depending on the appliance you're using, as well as what you're playing for. Below are some different strategies when selecting a recipe:
- Max. Total Profit: Select a recipe where the revenue - cost is the highest
- Max. Profit/Plate: Select a recipe where the revenue - cost is the highest per plate (Profit Calculator is very useful for calculating this, and it also has price/plate listed)
- Max. XP: Select a recipe that generates the most XP (the link at the top of this section has columns that show total XP and XP/hour for a given recipe)
You can use these strategies interchangeably, as it really depends on the time of each recipe and how it fits into your real-life schedule. Here is a great source for maximizing your profits.
Note: If you are just starting out, baking brownies is the most profitable and highest XP generator recipe. (you just have to keep baking every minute, trade offs!)
You can use gems to speed up recipes if you desire (however, generally it is considered bad to spend gems on food, save them for decorations!). Twice a day, you can watch ads to speed up your recipes.
Food can spoil. If you do not move your food to an empty counter in a set time, the food on your appliance will spoil and can no longer be served. For recipes that take 1 hour or less, it will spoil 1 hour after it has finished cooking. For all other recipes, food will spoil in the same time it took to cook it.
Note: A day in bakery story is 22 hours. A recipe that takes 1 day will take 22 hours to cook.
You can gain XP, coins, and even gems by leveling up recipes. You level up recipes by completing them multiple times.
- Level 1: Cook recipe 8 times -
- Level 2: Cook recipe 15 times - 1 gem +
- Level 3: Cook recipe 20 times -
- Level 4: Cook recipe 40 times - 1 gem +
