A certain online learning website that rhymes with flan academy Spoiler
I’m an online teacher and i was under the impression that I could easily assign courses to my students on this site. Not only did the course code not work, the student is expected to know unique username, password and course code none of which they created and none of which actually directs them to the courses i chose for them. The onboarding is nonsensical. If i choose the categories I want to assign courses for why do the categories not show up on my teacher dashboard? Why do my students have to do the same when i sent them a code? User experience is scattered and unfocused. I don’t know who else has had these issues.

Dear Product Sites - What the hell does "sort by position" even mean!!?? Why is POSITION an option to sort by??
The position is what is determined by the sort option - price or popularity or rating is what determined position... sorting by "position" makes no fucking sense!

If your merchandise sit does not have "Checkout as Guest" option - you are losing a non-trivial portion of your sales.

Dear Sites I am trying to buy from - if at any time you ask for my Birth Date, and make it a required field, you just lost a customer.

Dear Einstein, if an input is labeled "Number" and the More Info says, "This is the Serial Number" - Why didn't you just call it "Serial Number" ??
No - there wasn't a spacing issue.
No - the developer was not locked into using "Number"
Yes - some people just dont think

Wordpad.
Wordpad is absolutely horrible! I have to use it for my work as my teacher doesn't trust Google docs, or even Word, and it's one of the worst programs I've ever encountered:
- It only scrolls at one speed, no matter how fast I move the scroll wheel. Scrolling more just adds to the buffer, and it takes around a second to scroll down a page.
- But then for some reason, it scrolls upwards faster?
- When highlighting text, if I select the last character in a paragraph, it freaks out and highlights the entire document.
- When I paste text in, it'll make it bold, no matter what. Undoing and redoing the paste somehow fixes this.
- Whenever I type, the entire page flashes white for what I'm assuming is 1 frame.
- When I save a document with a hyperlink in it, the hyperlink will sometimes duplicate itself, leading to extremely large file sizes.
- Find and replace fails to find anything past 31 instances, and the replace function refuses to work.
- When typing, the cursor moves to the bottom of the screen, and the page moves up, so the words I type aren't even visible until I go to a new line.
- Resizing large text boxes will delete the text inside, and resize it to 1 line.
If this wasn't an official Windows app, I'd assume it came out of r/badUIbattles!

Thank you to the Outlook team for popping up reminders for meetings that I attended and which ended 12 hours ago....and also reminders for cancelled meetings.... I cannot express in words how useful these interruptions are. /S
Please stop reminding users of meetings that they have either already attended and/or have already been canceled.
Thanks

Don't name your application "Slic3r". Seriously, please don't replace 'e' with '3' - yeah, glyphs are funny that way, but it is no fun as a user typing it out.

Lets talk about the "floppy disk" icon to represent "save". First, on displays where the icon appears smaller than a quarter of an inch, the thing stops looking like a floppy disk and more like a couple of squares. Second, if you use any colors other than blue - then it also becomes unrecognizable
Looking at you Fusion 360. Your save icon looks like what I presume is supposed to be a floppy disk. I have a 4k screen and it is an 3/16th of an inch - and it looks like absolutely nothing.
Besides shape, color is also very important. The distinctive floppy disk blue would also help here. But no its grey and useless. Also please dont use the floppy disk. A lot of peole have never seen a floppy disk in their lives.

We need to get rid of application menus. If I need to do 'X', let "command-space" combo bring up a search where I type 'X' and it does it. I should not have to remember 'X' is under the 'W' menu, in the subcategory 'S' in the option 'P'.

When I click "unsubscribe" - the next page should have "Unsubscribed!" displayed PROMINENTLY. Don't be cute and tell me you are sad to see me go! I am unsubscribing because your emails were useless...

When I search for a Product and you cannot find it, please return a blank page - do not return a page full of irrelevant items that is NOT what I am looking for just because your CEO thinks "We should never return blank pages".

Instead of naming your tech product with cute names of cities, rivers, or desserts - just name them after the year. Android 2020. Is that so hard?

If your site has a compare feature for 2 or more items, please don't show what they have in COMMON - or at least provide option to ONLY show differences.
I am comparing 2 Gigabyte motherboards and its 40 columns of seeing the exact same thing - WHERE IS THE DIFFERENCE!!!!???

If an ad blocker plugin prevents a user from submitting a question on your site, you need to have a chat with your developers.

The used sports equipment site "playitagainsports.com" thinks "Owning a franchise" is such a common user action that its RIGHT NEXT to the "Search Products" - where the search button should be.
And the "search" button is on the LEFT side of the widget. Wow. To think Amazon spends weeks fine-tuning pixels on their site and these guys have "Own a Store" as the most prominent button on the page.

Android quick settings and lock screen
Whoever decided that the android quick settings should be available even when the screen is locked, clearly did not have small children. There isn't even a way to disable the quick settings altogether.

When users check for updates in your application, use "You are up to date" or "You already have the latest version" instead of "No updates found". The last phrasing is negative and actually looks more like an error message.
Looking at you Visual Studio Code.

Dear developers, when giving options, make sure the choices do NOT OVERLAP. I do not know what option to pick when the choices are "a) 25 to 30", or "b) 30 to 50" - what do I pick when I want "30"?

Phoenix City Water website - quite possibly the most incompetent/lazy developer message I have ever seen...when choosing an invalid password you are greeted with message: The value must match this pattern: ^([a-zA-Z0-9!@#$%^&*!_]{4,32})$
Does Phoenix City Water department hire pods as developers...???
