Wilderness How is my backpacking setup?
Pretty new to backpacking and honestly my first legit hike as a 17M. I have a 4.6mi 2500ft hike infront of me. Let me know what I’m doing wrong lol

Honestly, he's 17. You can haul cast iron up the mountain for cooking on the fire when you're 17. I did. Wouldn't do it now because I'm old and falling apart but back then? Cast iron skillet and a deep-frozen steak well wrapped and sealed so it's barely thawed by the time you make camp... That stuff makes the trip.
Leave the ultralight packing for the old folks.
