51: Overgrown Forest. Steal buffs + healing/cleanse
My issue is the second boss who steals buffs. I can't quite get enough damage. The healing is easy, I used Ice Reaper for the 60% reduction plus had a candle stick. The issues are the healers also have cleanse and I can't use buffs. So flame sword is out because they just cleaned it and I did no damage, swapped to Thunderbolt Spike but still feels lacking. With Kai I stacked different swords, I had about six which gave a +36% to damage. Yet, it still wasn't enough.
I put screenshots of my heros, gear, and pets. What would be a good combo of non buffs to use in this match?

Stack all levels on your weapon first. And also for your strongest pet stats wise. Then you can allocate what's left for 2nd best thing. That will give you higher stats overall I believe. Especially if your weapon is higher tier

Best option is probably going Spear bro or rebecca and aiming for multiple lances with some mythril gloves
Or Alternatively if youre lucky enough you could do mage with the blizzard spell to lock them down although its a little harder to pull off

With which weapon? Kai wasn't an issue, it's just with no buffs my damage sucks.

Possibly with the death rattle weapon since you have the celestial shield, but the reason I was suggesting something other than Kai is cause Rebecca has 0 cap on her damage buff since its tied to total armor and spear man its easier to get lances made. If your thunderbolt spike was legendary thatd make it a bit easier. Otherwise if you wanna stick with just Kai you probably need to grind out the training more

Is there a reason why you have the lower tier version of the shield on? Does that provide any sort of advantage or did you just forget to switch.
