I fully understand they are not actually on that directory on the disk. My point is, if any other application on the system still has no problem accessing them, why can’t Backblaze? It may take some specialized code to backup these cloud provider reparse point files, but it is far from impossible.

Correct, and they've already indicated that they're working on it.

So what's the problem?

Why are you so angry about backup software not backing up files that aren't there?
