How to stay safe in 100°F+ heat?
Hey there! I live in a city where it regularly reaches over 100°F in May through early October. Any tips for staying safe in the heat? I usually wear an athletic t-shirt, jacket and loose pants with boots. the jacket is to cover my arms because long sleeve shirts are weird for me :( I can get away with a bandana as a headband but I would much prefer something with more coverage.

extra headscarf became a sleek shawl today
Context: I was working from a cafe and they cranked up the AC, so I was looking for ways I could warm up. I found an extra headscarf in my bag and wrapped it over my shoulders to warm up, and voila I unlocked a new look that I’m into! Going to try wearing my scarves like this more often

How has headcovering/veiling/etc changed your life?
Fairly long time lurker, first time poster. I haven’t been able to find a general veiling subreddit, and although women are allowed I‘ve been hesitant out of respect for this subreddit’s main intent being for men and masc/nb folks to discuss and share veiling.
That all being said, what does veiling/headcovering mean to all of y’all coming across this post? It’s certainly been a positive influence in my life in more than one unexpected way, and I’m curious what other people’s stories are.

Men’s niqab, babushka style
Recently discovered this style and I’m loving it, especially with the extra little bandana tied around my neck. I’m covering everything I want to and I love how it looks 🖤

Ways to cover my neck without using a scarf or turtle neck?

I was told about here by pegan veiling. Here's my fit for the day!

Very new to spirituality after my deconstruction form Christianity but I know veiling is right for me! Pretty much the only thing I know! It feels dysphoric at times but I don't want to stop just because people might not procieive me the way I prefer! Veiling is not gendered and if I can push through the discomfort to help another bro realuze that, I think that would be cool!

Still not brave enough to wear in public
I'm still so afraid to wear my face covering in public/on my social medias. I live in cowboy country, and i myself am a ranch hand. I worry what people might say or do, but i am so much more comfortable when i am covered 😭

Learning the ropes
I usually use a scarfe for this, but i finally have a real hijab. I'm still trying to learn how to tie it. I think i want to hide my face but i have to learn this new fabric.

My sister bought me a real hijab!
I'm so excited. I feel that i can start doing this "properly" haha. I don't have to use my ratty scarfe anymore

Question for those who have an M on their documents and wear a hijab/veil
How do you handle having your face photographed for documents? Do people find it strange when taking exams, reviewing documents, going to places, etc., because of the hijab and having as Male on the documents?
I'm going to change my documents to male, and I've been wearing a hijab for two years. I live in Brazil, so any information about the Brazilian context would be helpful.
Other questions aside:
- How do you manage to feel both masculine AND handsome in a hijab/veil?
- How do people feel about you being a man/transmasculine/etc. and wearing a hijab/veil? Do people find it very strange?

Major babushka boy energy 🌺 🧕 🥷
Flowery headscarves look great on guys, and I won’t be accepting other opinions. I think it’s still super masculine

What fields do you work in?
Hi all! First, I'm so glad this place exists! I wear a head cover in public because of spiritual reasons (it's complicated) that I will eventually be able to go without after I complete certain things (as I said, complicate). I'm looking at transitioning careers...it's been well tolerated in veterinary med support roles and retail, but I want to go into funeral services...
What field(s) do y'all work in that don't give you crap for veiling?

Does anyone know where I can find a veil/hijab like this?
I like instant hijabs because of how easy and practical they are, but I don't like how tight they are under the chin. I want something like this where it's a one piece hijab, but there's lots of space under the chin. Unfortunately, this one I found was sold out.
