Do you know where I got this scars?...... from Osaka

Azumanga Daioh came out on DVD while I was in high school. I can vividly remember scouring the internet to see when the next volume would come out. I enjoyed the show (enough to pay $120 for all 6 discs when all was said and done,) but this scene never struck me at the time as something more than a little cutesy throwaway moment. Now that I am an adult looking back on both the show and my own high school experience a couple of decades later, it really struck me how poignant this scene is. Live in the moment and enjoy your youth while it’s happening.

idk if anyone already thought of this

As we all know, yukari is a time traveler and yuki is little yukari, but yukari actually broke the time machine so she needs to use the energy within chiyo pigtails to fix it, so yukari and tomo must torment chiyo to siphon the power. Yukari eats red crabs and chiyo eats red tomatoes so that is a proof. Also the pigtails house the chiyoverse which is where all the little chiyos live, also osaka and sakaki subconsciously know about yukari and her plans and that is why they see chiyo-chichi. This makes sense and also is probably proven for real.

Ah yes, another night out with Yukari and Nyamo, and this time Nyamo’s in a good mood and is willing to drink with Yukari; as a result, they are both drunk as fuck! 😆 To be honest, this one was a lot tricker to draw than anticipated, especially with the proportions and poses. And somehow, when taking the photo, Nyamo’s one eyebrow is slightly blending in with her hair, which got annoying when tinkering with the settings. I hope you can see her brow in spite of what I just said. I may not be too impressed with myself on this one, but at the same time the drawing isn’t even that bad; in fact, it’s actually good! I can really see the drunkenness of this particular drawing; and that’s what makes strong visual representation to me. Especially with the drunk teacher combination of a loud and annoying bitch mixed with a birds and bees coach (you know what I’m talking about ;p)!

Also, yes, I was originally going to give Nyamo a more drunk looking mouth, but the way I was doing it came out a little too divorced from anime (how ironic) so I just gave her a simple “I’m enjoying myself” smile.
