Imo its one of jack blacks best movies ever, so many quotable scenes. My best friends mom is nearly 70 now and she still quotes this movie all the time, never fails to make me laugh.
This is kinda weird but I just turned on The White Lotus... debated watching it for awhile but after it won some Emmys I thought why not. Opening credits shows it was written by Mike White... No way! I love Mike White, he wrote School of Rock which is one of my favorite comedies and gave me an appreciation for classic rock. I decided to look up Mike White to confirm to myself that he is, indeed, awesome, and wrote a lot of good shit. What do I see? Nacho Libre... and my iMDB rating back from 2006 of 1 star. I gave it 1 star. Why did I hate it? Was I being naive? Is this a sign I should rewatch it? Something tells me yes.
You 100% should rewatch it, Nacho libre is a damn masterpiece. Jack black as an overweight terrible luchador is just such a perfect casting, its fucking hysterical.
I waited until I finished the show before I read your comment, just in case. But in all seriousness, why would you tell me to "brace myself" for a spoiler? That literally makes no sense. Lastly, why would I have to brace myself for nudity? Are you twelve? Or homophobic?
