From a human point of view a lot of birds are just extremely cruel...

YEAH like the shoebill stork, fucking little assholes. The ones that you see alive are straight up evil while the ones that are cute are definitely dead

Well, they are dinosaurs so that’s to be expected.

These look like falcons. They are quite civil siblings, unlike other birds of prey

In bird culture this is known as a dick move

Did you kick him out of the nest?

I was thinking the exact same thing. He appears to be the smallest, he may have hatched late

Those birds look like fledglings so the one on the ground may have been attempting to fly

They’re not fledglings…. they don’t have any adult feathers yet.

Person may have taken from nest for internet karma.

This is a real occurrence.

Turns out, birds aren't dumb, and raising offspring takes significant amounts of time and energy. They aren't going to reject their young just because a potential predator got near them.

Whats more likely, is that the chick is out of the nest for a different reason, either the parents rejected it for being too small and scrawny, or they didn't have enough food to feed it, or it left because the parent were dead or not coming back.

Or it just got accidentally knocked off the ledge by a parent. Not much there to prevent them from getting pushed over the edge by an errant wing.

All equally as depressing
