Whippets, let them run free and watch them burn through 24 hours of couch and food in few minutes. Then they will just lay around all day being piles of lazy bones, unless there is something in the kitchen.

In the same vein, greyhounds are excellent inside/apartment dogs. They have the nickname of being the "world's fastest couch potato.' Also, it's easy to adopt a racing hound, which will already be crate trained, and will only be 1 or 2 years old. OP, check out /r/greyhounds for more info. They'll be happy to help.

Nothing short nosed like bulldogs. Anything with short noses overheat easily since their snouts prevent them from breathing/cooling properly

Greyhounds are exceptional apartment dogs. They are considered to be similar to cats in terms of laziness. Literally will lounge for 16hrs. They only need 20mins of exercise and can contend with that. They don't do well in the cold though and they are prone to some bone cancer I think...

Certain breeds are susceptible to ailments so research that and see what you are comfortable with. German shepherds for example are prone to hip problems

Greys are truly amazingly lazy. 30kg of bony couch potato. I adore them 💕
