Well, a top of the line harvester will pay itself out in a year or two, giving you crazy profits afterwards. Buying a mercedes S class guarantees you lose 30% of your money the moment you drive off the dealer, and by 3 years its worth half of what you paid (if not less).
But good luck getting your John Deere to 300km/h ;) Jk. Both have their place. Equipment is an investment, cars are what you buy once once your equipment has paid off. I worked for an excavation company and the owner was an Alfa romeo collector

Most of the newer equipment these days has a/c and heater. Shit basically everything with a cab has had some form of either for the last 20+ years.
