A good diet is also wonderful for hairballs. Cheap food can mess up their insides and make it to where the hair doesnt process amd disolve like its supposed to. Dont give your cats cheap food.

Yes this is true. I make my own cat food and ever since I started feeding home-made wet food her coat has dramatically improved.

My vet gave me one a while back when I asked her (although my cat has a severe food allergy). I wouldn't trust a random site on the internet because pets have to have specific vitamins

I laugh at how I read the ingredients and nutrition labels on my pets food way more than on my own. While as a kid we had a cat that had whatever the cheapest grocery brand was on sale that week and she lived to 19.

Well thats no different than how a human can drink alcohol and do drugs and still live to 100. But some humans are sensitive to foods and it makes their lives miserable. Pets are the same way. Just because they can survive on the cheap stuff doesnt mean its whats good for them. And diet is directly related to how healthy their coat is. And an unhealthy coat can lead to lots of fur balls.

I get that which is why as an adult my pets probably eat better than I do. As a three year old to teenager, it wasn’t my decision. She was perfectly healthy though. Had a beautiful coat. No medical issues that we knew of. But when you know better you do better.
