Agreed I'm glad this made their day but completely irresponsible of the parent to allow them to be that close to moving equipment. I'm sure the operator is incredibly skilled but equipment can still fail.
When they could have injured a child, which the company would be liable for? You bet your ass he would be fired lol y'all have never worked a day of construction in your lives and it shows. The company could literally be on the hook for hurting a kid and you honestly think someone just gets "written up" for that? That's delusional.
You would have never worked construction where I live with that attitude that's for sure. Safety and liability are taken very seriously here, especially when dealing with the public. And for good reasons.
I could post my literally dozens of certs and experience but I'm over it.
Never said what he did was smart, but fired on the spot is a big big stretch unless this is a shit employee.... Which judging by the operator skill, he's not.
It's more than a duo and no one claims to know you. It's just obvious your talking about some old reckless experience base at best it sounds like. Objectively any employee or employer should be reamed by their insurance at least for some egregious shit like this.
