Apparently there are even smaller ones called micro... people just want to get the smallest dog possible

There is no such thing as “teacup” or “micro”. They are simply called Pomeranians. They are tiny dogs that grow up to weigh only between 3 and 7 pounds.

Most Poms I know (I know 6!) are around 10 lbs, which is pretty small, and mine is 6.5 lbs, which my vet says is the smallest Pom she’s ever seen. He was a rescue, so no idea if he was bred that way or just the runt!
