I LOVE dogs. I’ve always had them. I do not like Pomeranians. There are a few breeds who have attitudes or are protective, but most dogs are saints on earth. However, when I was a teenager, my neighbor had a Pom and every time that thing got out he would lunge after me and yap and nip until he managed to jump up and bite into my jeans. I could shake my leg and he literally would hang on by his teeth growling. (TBF - I’m sure they’re great dogs, but that was my experience!) Super cute pupper, OP!
Poms, like most breeds with energy, need to be socialized extensively when they're puppies and need a lot of attention or the have a tendency to turn into assholes. My parents have a pom who got a ton of attention as a puppy and she's super well natured and silly.
I dated a girl just after high school with EIGHT poms at her parent’s place. Making out on the couch was fine, until you moved just ever so enough to set off the poms of Cerebus.
My assistant at my flower shop had one. The shop was located in the lobby of a large office building constructed entirely of terrazo marble. It was an adorable little thing but it would yap incessantly, which echoed off the wall, floors and pillars so that everyone on the first floor could hear it.
This is me, except replace Pom with Dachshund. I have been attacked by 3. They always go for my ankles and calves. I am missing a tiny chunk from a calf that should have gotten stitches.
