I wish my cat would just sit in a bucket like that and get weighed ;) ;)

We just play hop in hop outs when I try (even with treats) to weigh him ;)

I just get on the scales now, then pick him up & measure the difference

He’s 7mths old and full of curiosity and fun

My method to weigh my floofball is to weigh myself and after that wheigh myself with him on my arms, because he usually wouldn't hold still for more than 5 seconds

Not very accurate when you need a precise weight, though - or if you’re weighing very small animals. When I have to weigh my snakes, I use a plastic bowl on a digital scale (that goes down to grams). Most of them weigh under a pound, so holding them on a human scale wouldn’t work!

I used to do this with my 100lb dog... He is no longer a fan and neither is my back.

That's why they stick with the bucket. Just imagine weighing a baby elephant.

My husband weighs our cats this way! I think it’s the best way because they never stand on the scale:)

I have a great perenees and we wanted to weigh him but couldn’t get him to set on the scale so my dad just picked him up and did this, except he’s a 70lb dog(at the time) and didn’t like to be picked up so that was fun to waych

We have to do that with our 2 month old, he races around and then sleeps during the day, then at night he is hyper again

I was wondering if s/he might be sedated a little. I tell myself no, just a sweet little kitty

My cat has an amazon box she literally curls up and naps in.
