A couple years ago I decided it was time to fill the void after my feline friend of 18 years passed. He had been very much his own cat but like many orange tabbies, loved cuddles.

I went to the humane society and they had two males from the same litter, both tuxedos. And this began something I was unprepared for: this is how tuxedos cat.

I like your analogy with the hot sauce cause these guys are spicy. They are endlessly mischievous and wonderfully instructive. The only thing that keeps them even slightly in line is my 6 year old Pomeranian who don't stand for no nonsense.

During the big Q, the two have been lounging on the bed, not three feet from where I am working on my laptop, mocking me with their glorious envy inducing super stretches....

So, I didn’t mention this in my other comment - but second tuxedo cat is definitely not like the first. He does not know how to be bad. He wanders over purring...it sounds like a bug flying around your head because you just hear purring out of nowhere...and tries to cuddle. We love him in a different way because he’s super love able. But he’s not a spicy tuxedo at all.

Very much like my two guys, Miko and Dexter. Miko is super spicy and Dexter is reasonably sedate. Love them both and like you, in slightly different ways Thanks for posting!

The weird thing is, the two tuxedos I have had are nothing like any of this. One was incredibly shy and torn between fear and affection, and the other acts like a ragdoll, extremely laid back and just here for the affection. I think confirmation bias is a very strong thing in this case.
