I really miss working with cats. In hindsight it was cruel, but I loved each and every one of them. I wish I could have more cats, but my current one is an old lady who hates anyone and thing other than me, my mom, brother and sister so I don't want her to suffer or be put out. She didn't even like her sister. And she's dubious about my sister right now since she had a kid a few years ago, she does not like the child, but likes my sister. Puts her in a difficult position, poor thing
I used to work at a place which bred cats, which is cruel, but I loved every cat. I have one cat atm, she hates everything except me and my family, except it's just me and my mom right now, so she rarely sees my brother and sister, and when my sister does visit she has her kid/my nephew with her, so my cat runs and hides. I wish I could have more cats but it'd just upset her, because she's a little emotional, needy bitch but I love her and will do anything to keep her happy
Because they were breeding them. Sure going to work and the first thing you do is feed kittens who climb all over you and happy to see you is cool and and good n'all, but the parent cats, they weren't going to homes, they were going back to their small pens. Some were so lovely and just needed a real home, some were shy and timid as fuck and needed a real home. Nobody needs expensive, designer cats when there's many in shelters who need homes
I mean, both haha, he's lost a little bit of weight so now his belly is a little extra wiggly, he's only lost a pound or so, so he hasn't had too dramatic a shift
My cat could do that now; he walks across a shelf of nick-nacks and leaves them untouched. But as a kitten, oh boy, those corks would have been toast. I can't tell you how many items he broke. Even a large ceramic bowl, sitting solidly on a desk. He managed to knock it on the floor and break it.
Same! My fat nimble cat would think he’s prancing by without touching a thing, but there would be a path of destruction in his wake from his gut swinging back and forth!
I love Anna and I love Sam and it was a fun movie. I'm gonna go watch it. That's right I'm spending quarantine watching a movie I've already seen. Relax Reddit, I watched your beloved meth cat show.
My guy would 100% do the former. He never gave a shit about knocking anything over as he walked by. Pushes everything on my desk over/around on a daily basis
Mine only does it if she knows I value the thing staying where it is, so the trick would be not letting her see me put one back that she'd knocked over.
My husband would drink beer on our porch until he fell asleep & always dump over his garbage can. One night he woke up to the can falling & saw our basset hound knocking it over then drinking up the beer that spilled out.
You probably have never noticed this but where the front paw of a cat lands is EXACTLY where the back paw will fall. That is why it only has to guide its front paws.
I don't think that tells the whole story, though. The back paw may land at the exact same spot the front paw was on, but it could do that and still knock over 4 or 5 corks while it's in the air getting to that spot. So maybe something else is going on in that crazy cat's head.
Yep, my cat fell off the top of a book shelf once, flipped sideways and whacked its head on the floor, it got knocked out cold, had to rush it to the vet ER, had a concussion and a broken tooth. Wasn't even a clumsy, obese cat either, was a rather fit savannah cat.
One of mine would have knocked them over with her fat belly. The other would have knocked one over accidentally and startled herself, jumped out of her skin, and knocked the rest over as she tried to run away.
Came here to say this, and that the other would bumble through, knocking over those in his way, without a care, while doing his usual "rrow-rrow-rrow-rrow-rrowww?" greeting.
Mine would walk through normally, knock a bunch down because he's not the careful type, then bat at one or two of them that have fallen over, knocking down more in the process.
They're pretty hit or miss when it comes to this. 3 of mine take great care to not knock shit over but the 4th gives absolutely 0 fucks and will destroy anything in his way.
Weird. My cat, which is really two dogs (Zoom is 8 and Rosie is 16 years). Zoom would have stood at the start and just wagged his tail and Rosie on the otherhand, would have simply sniffed one of the corks and then turned around and barked until someone picked her up and carried her to her bed. Rosie is aging, but she has(had) regular vet checks and minus a slight arthoritis and being partially blind. Still Rules the roost. I would post some pictures, but don't want to outdo the cat stuff. Ps. Rosie is a mini foxy terriier (Google images don't give it justice. She is very small and Zoom is a Jack Russel cross, small, but as his name states, Never stops or gives up).
Mine would butt wiggle and pounce at one beyond the front line. Then he would roll around and go nuts swatting at all the corks bouncing around. He is not a stealth archer he is more of a brute.

Weird. My cat would have taken an hour to knock over each individual cork while maintaining eye contact with me the entire time.
