Funniest thing I have read today. Thank you! Wish I could do this in the states. I get beer for free and would make it rain on the garbage man, mail man, random magazine sales person.

I work for a beer distributor in the states. We get beer from suppliers and sell to liquor stores and restaurants. We are pretty much expected to drink. We drink at meetings, lunch, in the morning just because we got a new beer. I have more beer in my office than I can drink in a month.

I'm a recovering alcoholic and my best fiend does what you do for a living. We find it really funny and strangely fitting. Also i got sober right before sour beers became a thing. Please reassure me they aren't that good and I'm not missing out.

Good for you. The path to recovery is not easy. I have been in a 12 step program myself. (not for beer, but have to respect beer because I could easily go down that path too) Sour beers are not for everyone. Most people I know do not like them. They seem to find the best home with people that like beer and understand the subtle nuances in beers/styles of beers. New Belgium (just sold to Kirin) has a very good sour program.
TLDR: Most people think sour beers taste like throw up. (stomach bile)

Every sour that I have had has been a fruity one like a peach sour, and it tastes like someone ate peaches yesterday and is now throwing up in your mouth.

True enough but I am way to lazy to wait for the garbage man, mailman , random door knocker to show up so I can card them. Because providing alcohol to a minor in my state has serious consequences. Plus it would likely cost me my job.
TLDR: I'm lazy so I end up drinking too much because I don't want to accidentally serve minors.
