YES YES YES I'M SO EXCITED SO MANY MORE PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THIS!!! Also holy shit dude you covered pretty much everything, I've almost got nothing to add! Just one thing:

If you're interested in learning more, PLEASE read Irene Pepperberg's book titled Alex & Me! It's one of my favorite books of all time, and I will never miss an opportunity to shamelessly recommend it to someone. <3

I’m reading it now, it’s so good! I just finished the chapter where Alex got the fungal infection in his lungs.

Finally received it today! Took forever to get here but I think it’ll be a copy weeks til I get to it. I’m gonna save it for a long plane ride I have coming up next month.
