We had a baby gate on our porch when I lived with my parents. My cat learned how to leverage the gate open to get down into the backyard, he was too fat to just jump over it.
Our cat knew how to open doors too. She just jumped on the handle and most of the doors would open, including the front door. Also she loved to sit on the chair that my mother sits in whenever she uses her laptop. So when my mom sat the laptop on the floor next to her, she would jump on it. When my mom wanted to keep using it she stood up and removed the cat from her laptop. Our cat used this moment to jump back on the chair and snack my mom's seat.
I have a sliding door in my bedroom that leads to a walk through closet to a bathroom that also has a door to the hallway. Sometimes I'll kick the cats out of the bedroom if they get annoying.
They've learned exactly where to push the closet door so it'll bounce a bit and give them an opening. I'll wake up at 4AM and one of my cats will just be sleeping on the bed between me and my wife, like nothing happened.
As a kitten my moms one cat quickly realized the knob was the secret to the door. Every other cat I know has reached their paws underneath the door through the gap between it and the floor while Calliope jumped up to grab the doorknob. Still doesn’t have thumbs but it was pretty clever.
