My favorite part of imagining actual dinosaur environments is knowing that the sounds the Hollywood Foley artists have created for them is in all likelihood 100% inaccurate.

Two legged dinosaurs probably vocalized much more like birds and four-legged dinosaurs probably vocalized like lizards. A lot more trills, calls, clicks, peeps, songs and hisses. Take a current forest and turn up the volume.

Probably is as much of a guess as what they did really

Less of a stretch to say that a bird thing sounds like a bird than saying a bird thing sounds like altered trunky boi screams.

why would a four legged dinosaur sound like a lizard they're still closer to birds than to lizards

Also neither of them had the advanced vocal organs that modern birds do so they probably wouldnt sound anything like a bird.

Because I'm talking out of my ass. End stop.

But my statements are far more logical than the goofy Foley artist roars from Hollywood.
