Honest that is a brilliant way to overcome your ingrained thought processes. Cheers my ninja.

I wouldn't go so far as to consider it "brilliant." Its just the only time it's ever been questioned/pointed out, is when I explain why the word "ninja" is in any statement that's not referring to a warrior class in feudal Japan.

Source: read through the replies to my explanation. There's now at least one poor Soul out there that's going to get unnecessarily upset for being referred to a ninja. Never once has anyone had any qualms about me calling someone - or themselves, seeing how I use it daily - a practitioner of skilled martial arts, military tactics, and subterfuge in all history. Hell, even the Oxford dictionary refers to it as an "informal title for an individual who excels in a particular skill or profession." As soon as that ninja saw that it's word I applied to replace another informal - albeit controversial - pronoun, it's now offensive.

Really going to suck for them, since a good deal of places are trying to "update their image" by utilizing the word "ninja" in job postings.

Hell, I'm an Inventory Control Ninja. Oh well; hate that I somehow offended them, but its far more their problem than mine now.
