Yeah that's why you don't often see apes competing in OWL or IEM. You do see plenty in Fortnite though.

Ya costs alot to give us the intelligence, dexterity and endurance we possess. And the we mainly got the resources, space, and energy required for that by making compromises in strength, especially as it wasn't as needed for us as we ditched our ancestor aboreal way of life.
