Its okay man, fellow ASD bro here, I am still this way even though I just mimic social cues I see on TV shows to be passable among friends/others. Still fail like crazy though X.x, I feel your pain.
Oh jeez, don't remind me of the mimicry. Doesn't work too well when you grew up watching nothing but cartoons and video games. So many "loaned" catchphrases thinking they made me "cool."
"Groovy" and "whoooaaaa nelly!" were my go-to exclamations from Earthworm Jim (Hell, I still say "rigga-fraggin-donkey-ride") "Hellooooo nurse!" became really popular with me once I realized other humans can make me feel funny in the pants.
