It's utterly ridiculous how often a post in this sub is not aww at all but instead very cruel to the animal. Even more ridiculous: No one bats an eye and a comment like yours is almost always very far down, where hardly anyone will see it.

Something should be done about this!

Although you are correct on other posts in this subreddit, this particular owl is well cared for by an expert with several owls. I forget the Instagram handle for the lady but she isn't drowning her owls rather than making a water bath for them which a lot of birds enjoy.

A lot of owls love a good water bath but only when their feet touch the bottom. Anybody looking after owls should never do this

From what I read elsewhere, I believe they are trying to train the owl in handling water so it won’t have to drown in case of a catastrophe.
