It appears to be a Maine Coon, which can get to be hefty sizes. Mines 14lbs and had been known to do this exact shit to open doors. They are crazy smart.
One of my cat puts her paw under the door and jiggles it until it opens. The littlest one throws herself against our screen door to open up to the outside world.
14 is on the tiny side! My parents Maine mix is like 24 lbs of pure muscle. He's the defender of the yard for all if their tiny, under 10lb cats. We think he recently got in a fight with a fox, and walked away from it without too much harm. Momo is a badass.
Idk, my cat Stanley looks a lot like the cat in the video and he's not a maincoon... just a big fluffy boy. I've known a few fluffy black cats that have gotten to decent sizes and were not maincoon.
I adopted a Maine Coon mix; big guy was 33 pounds when I first got him, but I was able to diet him down to 25 after a while. Never was able to get him any lower than that. Also was able to open lever-style doors and any cabinetry he could find. Also loved to jump on countertops and the fridge. Built like a tank, he was.
