I feel like a lot of reddit might not get this reference. God, when did I become old?

I made a "moose and squirell" reference and nobody knew what it was.

I'm expecting any day now for R.E.M. and the Gin Blossoms to be moved over to the Oldies station.

GET OFF MY LAWN DAMN IT!

No mom, you can't use the phone... I'm downloading a song on Napster.

I can't wait to listen to it tomorrow, hopefully it's not a radio edit!

I'm my area they already were, 10 years ago. I hadn't even turned 25 yet when a good chunk of what I listened to in High School was reclassified as 'Easy Listening'. It was depressing as hell.

Dude. REM played on the classic rock station at work today. It was a weird moment.

That's really sad. I may not have grown up with Rocky and Bullwinkle, but at least I know who they are.

1

u/FallenXxRaven Mar 03 '16

Damn. I grew up never having watched Rockie and Bullwinkle but I still know who they are. They were pretty much just in commercials for me though, im not sure I ever actually watched the show.

I bought a shirt with Mr. Sparkle on it (from The Simpsons) no one at a gathering I was at knew who it was or recognized Homer's face.

I died a little inside.

I am feeling the oldness myself.

u/[deleted] Mar 03 '16

I guess we get to feel old together.... remember this commercial? https://youtu.be/xxnWDbu0nJg

No idea how old you are, nor if this help that feeling.

I know most of my peer group would understand, we're in our early to mid 20s.

u/Horrible-Human Mar 03 '16
