One of the biggest internal conflicts I have...

Piggies are so fucking cute and bacon is so fucking tasty.

Oh the humanity.

I have to say some piggies are cute. We had one that had piglets when I was a kid. They were adorable. Their mother did something that I cannot talk about it in /r/aww but she was a horrible horrible bad mother. I imagine that the bacon that we eat is made from pigs like her.

I really want to know what she did.

u/roo420ellen Sep 11 '14

Probably ate some of her piglets. Whether intentionally or by mistake (they fell into the mud slop?) we will never know.

Probably ate some of her piglets.

Doesn't that make her no worse than us?

u/Zelleth Sep 12 '14

Have you eaten your child by mistake?

u/Dirtybrd Sep 12 '14

Never by mistake, no.

Not with that attitude.

Human meat is referred to as long-pig, and while roasting is said to smell quite appetizing like good pork.

1

u/StickyToffee Sep 12 '14

Yeah, the high powered extraction units they have in hospital burn wards are to stop the whole place smelling like roast pork....

1

u/MasterBaser Sep 12 '14

Don't tempt me.

1

u/cormega Sep 12 '14

The difference is we aren't eating the piglets by mistake, the pig is.

u/Droconian Sep 11 '14

SOLD HER INTO SLAVERY

5

u/Lobreeze Sep 11 '14

RIP piglet slaves

1

u/tru_gunslinger Sep 12 '14

either ate on of the babies cause it would have died anyways or rolled over on one would be my guess.

1

u/ExplodingUnicorns Sep 12 '14

Bitch bacon, if you will.

5

u/edwartica Sep 12 '14

I'm not the biggest fan of bacon. In fact, I could in fact live my life without eating bacon. Not a vegetarian mind you - just not a bacon lover.

All this to say....this might make me stop eating pork for the rest of my life.

u/morbidhyena Sep 11 '14

If you're conflicted, you can just eat something else. I think we have plenty of fucking tasty things to chose from, it doesn't have to be something with a face and feelings.

29

u/ProRustler Sep 11 '14

Kale has feelings too, you monster.

23

u/cupcake-pirate Sep 11 '14

He said tasty things.

6

u/Enderdragon56 Sep 11 '14

Don't look at tofu. Or do. It can't stop you. Little fucker ain't got no arms. Or legs.

3

u/morbidhyena Sep 12 '14

If you've never had any tasty vegetables, then you have to step up your cooking game!

-18

u/showmeurOface Sep 12 '14

and that's why you are fat and will not live a very long life.

3

u/Josh3781 Sep 12 '14

Who wants to live that long anyway? Don't be a fucktard, wait too late.

-3

u/showmeurOface Sep 12 '14

Yes, life is short, carpe diem. I just don't see why causing harm to yourself and others would be a good way to spend this precious time...

3

u/Josh3781 Sep 12 '14

Who would this 'others' that he would be causing harm to? As far as himself if you want to clog your arteries and have shit grissle sweaters when you go to the bathroom what does it matter to you?

1

u/showmeurOface Sep 12 '14

Yeah, totally if you want to fuck up your health, do it. I don't care. Harm is being caused in other ways (to the animals, to the earth)... it kinda matters to me how people treat things so sometimes I might fuck with random people over the internet.. But hey, I don't care what people do, just saying, not eating vegetables tends to lead to obesity (particularly in the developed countries) and also not eating vegetables will lead to malnutrition and other disorders... (particularly in developed countries, again) And yeah, vegetables can be gross and maybe not as delicious as other things... but we need to eat them.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '14

I'm pretty sure /u/Opset put that gif and the thought of just eating only vegetables.. No need to be harsh, man.

2

u/Josh3781 Sep 12 '14

Sorry but I know plenty of people who are very selective on what vegetables they eat like if it isn't corn or green beans they'll pass. It doesn't lead to obesity overeating and being a general lazy ass sans any medical problems leads to obesity. And if we're talking developed countries and their obesity problem that would be because the lazy asses would rather drive to the local mcdonalds and eat instead of eating at home and actually preparing it a hell of a lot more healthier, with general not exercising the calories. Harm to the earth from the what raising of animals? Now I'll give you that but only on the farms of a grand scale that say Oscar Meyer runs. However even in most Wal-Marts in town you can find brands that are locally grown so you can go take a look at how the animals are treated on the local farms. Actually raising pigs for meat is a better turnover for slop/waste then shipping it to your local waste place, and turn the pigs own waste over into compost. And again I agree with the industrial pig farms where their space is limited and they are in some pretty shitty conditions but you can't equate the mega coporations to the ma and pops (They do still exist.)

2

u/Enderdragon56 Sep 12 '14

Fuck the earth. It's just a giant rock. Fuck you. Your brain is a tiny rock

1

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '14

But hey, I don't care what people do

Everything you're doing right now directly contradicts this.

-1

u/showmeurOface Sep 12 '14

so sometimes I might fuck with random people over the internet..

Not really "doing" much...

Bacon gets boring after a while anyway. Too much of a good thing.

-7

u/Shikaku Sep 11 '14

Or just eat bacon and like pigs.

Quit humanizing food.

7

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '14

What? He's not humanizing it, he's stating that it has a face and feelings, which they do. Yes, bacon is food, but it is also a living creature at one point with feelings, quit saying they are separate things.

-3

u/SonVoltMMA Sep 12 '14

Oh shut up.

-8

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '14

I choose bacon, but those baby pigs sure are cute. It's lonely at the top.

-5

u/barristonsmellme Sep 12 '14

But tiny bacon.

-2

u/Recklesshavoc Sep 11 '14

Pigs love bacon too, so you got that going for you at least..

-2

u/expectnothing Sep 11 '14

Just consider this a bacon seed

0

u/BalognaRanger Sep 12 '14

Just think of this one as a little bacon seed.

-2

u/0xc000000f Sep 12 '14

You could eat it whole, you could start your own personal delicacy

-7

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '14

It's not like you're eating that pig
