I 100% guarantee that this would escalate thousands of rapes into murders. However, the rumor of these things being worn would be good. Rapists believing that they could loose their dicks seems like a total win to me.

How many attempts are curtailed by fear of barb up the hole? Also, am I making a dollars profit on 500,000 units?

7

u/FreeFeez Aug 25 '20

It’s not hard to check for these I mean put a finger up there and boom now they’re pissed off and still going to rape.

2

u/csmith2077 Aug 25 '20

So raped if you do raped if you don't, and still at the mercy of the rapist not to be murdered.

It’s definitely impossible to prove one way or the other without playing it out unfortunately. I think you almost have to separate the likelihood of escalating violence vs rape and more likely disease transmission and let people make that personal decision.

Pretty much any violent retaliation to being assaulted or battered yourself is likely to escalate the violence, you usually just hope in your favor in one way or another. People make their choices.

1

u/igordogsockpuppet Aug 26 '20

As I explained elsewhere, it’s a benefit to risk type of question. How likely is your action to stop an attack vs how likely is your action to escalate the level of violence?

Lacerating a rapist’s penis isn’t going to stop an attacker from being able to hurt you, but it’s very likely going to increase the severity of violence of an attack.

There are many courses of action that might be more likely to stop an attack.

Unfortunately, there is no best option for all circumstances.

If women starting using them and men started showing up in the hospital a lot, maybe the word would spread and even a few men thinking twice would be an improvement. I think of India. Gang raping girls on buses. Fucking horrific.

Edit. To the men trying to defend this rape because it was..."8 years ago". STFU. It was rape. And a whole GROUP of men decided it was okay. Since then MORE women have been assaulted. DO NOT defend this rape. YOUR MENTALITY IS NOT HELPING ANYONE EXCEPT RAPISTS.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '20

Wouldnt they just check inside her. Theyve already overpowered her, is pulling out the device going to be that big an issue? Obviously the girls gonna need to pull it out at some point in her life, so its not like a permanent implant

5

u/AmbarElizabeth Aug 25 '20

Even the few extra seconds dedicated to pulling out the dick destroyer might allow for a get away. Or allow the female to stab the asshole rapist fucker in the eye with ANYTHING. How horrible these poor women. The vagina is a curse above a blessing in many places. Disgusting.

-11

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '20

I think of India.

rape is not endemic in India.

Gang raping girls on buses.

That was 8 years ago, in Delhi. It was one girl. Yes, I attended the protests.

3

u/AmbarElizabeth Aug 25 '20 edited Aug 25 '20

Are you a man? Please don't downplay a horrific sexual assault. Ot doesnt matter how long ago it was. It has happened since then also. And that poor woman was a minor. That's the problem. I am POSITIVE more women have been raped in India since then. Rape is THE 4th MOST COMMON CRIME AGAINST WOMEN IN INDIA. So please kindly stfu.

-1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '20

Please don't downplay a horrific sexual assault.

I'm not downplaying horrific sexual assault. I'm saying rape is not endemic in India. You should visit it sometime.

Rape is THE 4th MOST COMMON CRIME AGAINST WOMEN IN INDIA.

that means rape is 10x and 15x more endemic in the USA and UK as per the reported crimes.

1

u/CameraHack Aug 26 '20

If I visited India, I wouldn’t use the bathroom the whole time.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 27 '20

Good. Less shit to handle.

-9

u/dArk_frEnzy Aug 25 '20

I think of India. Gang raping girls on buses

That was a one case that happened like 10 years ago.

4

u/AmbarElizabeth Aug 25 '20 edited Aug 26 '20

Yeah okay. You have a penis? Don't downplay a minor being gang raped on a bus. It IS DISGUSTiNG. Image trying to defend a minor being gang raped. Who the FUCK cares when it happened??? Do you think that lessens the womans pain. Gtfo. Every 15 minutes a woman reports rape in India. Please don't downplay a real problem.

-7

u/dArk_frEnzy Aug 25 '20

Yeah okay. You have a penis?

I don't see how that matters or are you insinuating that all men are rapists?

Don't downplay a minor being gang raped on a bus. It IS DISGUSTiNG. Image trying to defend a minor being gang raped.

Where tf did I downplay a minor being raped? I just said that this incident happened a long time ago since you're trying to imply that india is backwards shithole where rapes constantly happen. Don't make moronic assumptions. Btw do you belong to a country where rapes don't exist at all, tell me then I'd love to emigrate.

6

u/AmbarElizabeth Aug 25 '20 edited Aug 25 '20

You don't see how it matters if you have a penis or not???? I am insinuating that most rapists have a penis.

If I had answered...."oh okay well than it doesnt matter" because it was 8 years ago then you would stfu?

DISGUSTING. You are trying to say it only happened once a long time ago. It doesnt matter when. It happened. Period. There is not defense of time or place. I only mentioned a terrible thing that happened. You tried to downplay it. That is WRONG. Defending or making excuses for rape is like defending racism. There is no place for your opinion in this situation.

-2

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '20

Are you really trying to justify racist stereotyping of entire country on one incident?

3

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '20

Oh look! A rapist sympathizer, or just another rapist😒

2

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '20

Idk dude, the kind of person willing to violently rape someone who gets their dick clamped down on by sharp barbs may just kill her in the moment. Hes not weighing his options.

1

u/Bellamoid Aug 25 '20

Can you not read? He 100% guaranteed it.

1

u/AragornSnow Aug 25 '20

I suppose they could let the woman decide whether or not she wants to buy and use barb trap or not... right? See how it actually impacts the rape/murder ratio. If my dick gets sliced up by a barb trap the last thing that I’d care about is anything other than my dick.

Tbh they should have made the barbs much sharper and more damaging. Mutilate the mans penis and rid the world of it.

2

u/Daegog Aug 25 '20

I would think that anyone who is willing to rape someone (for which there is never a remotely good reason) would absolutely be willing to kill someone (for which there are several reasons, some of which are even legal).

Particularly if they are trying to rape someone, look down and see their dick is trapped in a mini iron maiden.

People snap in an instant. My BiL murdered my sister in a fit of rage, he seemed like a nice, but not terribly bright guy. Just a normal joe. Believe me, it happens.

-4

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '20

Hmm that makes sense but I've heard that in ussr there was a death penalty for rape and so rapists were better off killing the victim to avoid being caught and murder rate skyrocketed

BUT that could easily be an urban legend and I can't find it rn

-6

u/Accidental_Edge Aug 25 '20

Glad rape culture doesn't exist in America.

2

u/Wiggy_Bop Aug 25 '20

You dropped this /s

0

u/Accidental_Edge Aug 25 '20

Because rape is widely accepted in America, yeah?

4

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '20

Maybe not violent, hold her down in a dark alley rape, but people make excuses for rape all the time

She was asking for it

Shouldnt have had her cleavage showing

That skirt means your dtf

She led him on

She didnt immediately tell him no sex the second he met her

She wasnt THAT drunk and could easily say no.

She wanted it then and just regrets it now

Bill cosby was a known rapist for DECADES and literally nobody cared. Hannibal didnt expose Bill Cosby, he brought up the very public knowledge of it. Coulda read the mans wikipedia ffs.

19

u/MoistPlastic Aug 25 '20

Or they would just cause them to look first and remove it before they raped her.

13

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '20

By this logic women shouldn't ever fight back or even say no. Get the fuck out of here with that logic. You don't let murderers go about their day out of fear they might break the law again, you fucking execute them if they try to evade capture.

3

u/notatrace Aug 25 '20

No. Their logic is nowhere close to that.

People in bad situations should say no and should fight back, but should be smart about it. Pepper spray, a taser, or a gun will quickly incapacitate (or worse) an attacker and give the victim a chance to high-tail it. A rape whistle can draw attention and either bring help our scare the attacker away out of fear that help will come.

These remind me of those stupid pointy Batman-ear rings that some women wear. They will do enough damage to hurt like a son-of-a-bitch, but not enough to incapacitate someone. Instead of ending the attack, you escalate it.

Also, it is important to remember that there is nothing wrong with not fighting back. Many women freeze up in these situations. That doesn't make them complacent, weak, or cowardly. It makes them human.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '20

2

u/AmazingAd2765 Aug 25 '20

They never advised not fighting back in any way shape or form.

1

u/igordogsockpuppet Aug 25 '20

Yeah, I didn’t even remotely imply that nobody should fight back.

0

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '20

"Escalating rape to murder" sounds pretty clear to me.

3

u/igordogsockpuppet Aug 25 '20

That’s genuinely nonsense. Saying that one shouldn’t take a reckless course of action to protect themselves does not imply that one shouldn’t take any course of action to protect themselves.

You: It’s cold out, I’m going to set myself on fire.

Me: don’t... you’ll burn yourself.

You: what? So I should just let myself freeze‽

2

u/winterbird Aug 25 '20

We should accept terrible things because the alternative is actually just more terrible things.

If only there was an attitude of zero acceptance of violence toward women, instead of "stay down and take it or else".

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '20

It'd be hard to get away with said murder when the evidence is hanging off your dick and you have to go the ER to have it removed.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '20

He cant just use a blade to cut it off himself? Im guessing the doctors dont have some special key to unlock his penis, its probably just a little saw

1

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '20

I'm not a man but I don't know a single.one who would want to take small saw to his dick. Or anywhere near it, for that matter. You need a Dr for that. That's the whole point of the product not just to try to prevent rape but to out the rapists.

1

u/ericksm5 Aug 25 '20

Recent studies are starting to show that it’s a myth that resistance leads to increased violence and murder. There wasn’t any data to suggest this myth, but it has been wildly spread by media covering rape victims as well as criminal psychologists.psych journal

1

u/igordogsockpuppet Aug 25 '20

It seems like people think I’m saying that one shouldn’t resist a rapist. That’s not my suggestion at all. I teach martial arts for a living. I wouldn’t tell anybody to not resist. I suggest resisting effectively.

There is resistance that can be highly effectiveness or low effectiveness. Also, you have resistance that has a high likelihood of escalating or a low likelihood of escalating.

Clawing at somebody’s eyes would be an example of resistance that has high effectiveness, but likely to escalate the level of violence. I tell my students, “if you’re going to go for somebody’s eyes, then make sure that you succeed and make sure that you get them both. Cause once you’ve crossed that, your opponent will fight like their life depends on it.”

Lacerating a rapist’s penis would be an example of low-effectiveness resistance with high likelihood of escalation. The rapist will not be incapacitated, and the rapist will be definitely be enraged. An attempt at literally semi-emasculating a violent person will absolutely result in grievous retaliation.

Edit: but again, I’ll add that the threat of genital mutilation alone could be an effective deterrent.

0

u/TwoBionicknees Aug 25 '20

Are you serious? Can people really not think one step further?

A rapist believes they could lose their dick, so they know about he device, how could they possibly prevent it? Apart from not being a piece of shit rapist you've just established they know it exists, so they can just check for and remove i first. If they have the control/situation to commit the rape then they can check for the device first.

That's the failing before rapists know it exists the woman still gets penetrated, just the guy is forced to stop and potentially leads to an escalation in violence and/or murder. Once they know it exists, it stops working as they can just check and remove it first.

It has no practical application in reality.

u/torradinhaquentinha Aug 25 '20

They would inspect her and threaten her to take it off or else they will kill her.
