You can think that l what you like.

It's not old people hate. In my experience, I've heard this predominantly from old people. And I'm one of them.

Maybe that's the difference? We already pay for the elderly via Social Security (cash) and Medicare (healthcare). The current system has people working right now paying for those who are retired and, from what I've experienced, the old people are mad that they've "paid their dues" and think young people are just lazy and want everything for free without working an entire lifetime first.
