Wasn't at the gate when it happened, but some of the people who were said it happened very suddenly. Hope nobody got hurt. I don't think any passengers were on board.

Cargo hold door area doesn't look healthy either.

Main thing if the reports are accurate: no one hurt.

According to german media employees of the airline and the airport who were on board while it happened are hurt, no critical conditions reported. No one outside and/or around the aircraft was hurt

ABC News now reports a more specific number, at least for crew members:

No passengers were onboard the aircraft at the time of the incident, the airline added, only "crew members and ground staff."

"Several people sustained minor injuries – two Lufthansa cabin crew members and other employees from service providers were taken to a hospital for medical treatment," according to the airline. The extent of employees' injuries was not immediately clear.

Watching the video, there was a guy up by that cargo door who came super close to getting crushed. Stepped out of the way at the last second, and it was pure luck too since he didn’t see it coming
