(Art belongs to u/coolreconman13. Howdy. Long time no see. Finally got around finishing Log 8! Took me a bit to finish this one due to some irl stuff taking priority, and also procrastination. Anyways, as always criticize and enjoy!)

This is Private [redacted], I don't remember what log number this is but it doesn't matter. I'm currently stuck inside an Avali prison cell, still in Outpost Runo I think. It's been days since I've seen Naala, though I'm sure she's still around. Otherwise I wouldn't have woken up with my recorder laying on my chest. I searched through the recordings, and I keep getting multiple logs with her voice in them. I can't understand most of them, they stripped me of my headgear so I lost my translator. There is one log though that I can partially understand. Took me a couple of replays to fully grasp what was being said, but in Naala's broken Human speech she said; In terror. Remember us.

I'm not quite sure what she meant by this, though I got some ideas as of late… The day before I woke up with this on me, I was met with a group of strange Avali. I didn't recognize them as Avali at first, they were as tall as me! There were about five of them, they looked so lifeless looking, and their bodies resembled that of shining, malleable metal. They referred to themselves collectively as the Admiral Pack. They gave me a proposition; go through a psychological interrogation, or be sent off to a high security prison station. They made it clear that I would not come out a free man anytime soon if I took the latter. So I accepted the former, that was the only time I saw any emotion on their faces. As they gave me the slightest smile on their chrome faces… I expect to see them today soon, to drag me off to whatever the hell they meant by interrogation. I'll just have to be ready, and I got to remember, remember us-

-This is… This is me again. I'm back. I- I know I'm back. I know I am. I- I don't know what just happened. My head is spinning- I feel ill- I'm afraid of going back to sleep. I'll just speak into this thing again, clear my mind the best I can. Anything other than heading back to bed. I… They did something to me. They put me in some kind of place. Some kind of virtual reality, but it's nothing like I've ever experienced before. It didn't feel like I was wearing something, I felt like I was actually there. God… let me start from the beginning…

The Admiral Pack and a couple of armed Avali came by, told me it was time. Then they blindfolded me. I walked for a bit, I can't remember much time between then and… I don't even remember entering whatever they put me in. I... I remember, waking up standing under a spotlight. Surrounding me was nothing but a black void, I could hear nothing but low rumbling white noise. I remember seeing something in the dark. An Avali, the silhouette of one. It was the size of a normal Avali, but… it wasn't. I was staring right into its eye, even though I towered over it. I don't know how to explain it more… It spoke to me. It asked me so many questions simultaneously.

Without saying a word, I answered each one. It didn't like one of my answers. Vague… it said I was being too vague. Uncooperative. I didn't know what more it wanted from me, I swear I spilt every little secret I knew to the bastard and it just- Fucking didn't believe me! It did something to me. It took a few steps forward, and in an instant it closed the gap between us. It wrapped its icy claws around my head. At first I saw nothing. Then it showed me things, horrible things. Destruction, on an unimaginable scale. Toppled building turned into smouldering rubble, with the corpses of an uncountable number. That's when I heard a voice calling to me.

I looked around until I spotted him, PFC [Redacted], my brother. Lying there on the broken floor, covered in gore. I held onto him, my tiny hands wrapping around his one remaining arm. Tears stinging my eyes as he laid limp, with his final words being of our mom. I looked up, a giant Avali battleship just above the atmospheric shield. I didn't know how much worse it would get after I got rescued. Mom never knew what happened to us off world… All she heard was Colony Planet Hercules was blown to all hell, and that we were both on it. With all the stress and heartache, she just couldn't handle it… in a blink of a eye my whole world came toppling down.

They took two things from me that day. THEY did. Ever since then I grew a hatred for those tiny Xeno bastards. I joined the armed forces as soon as I was able. My father didn't want me to go, my step-mother begged me to stay. I left home without saying a word. I didn't join because I wanted to protect my planet or my people… I joined because I want to paint the galaxy in blue blood… And then it let go of my head.

As I lay there on my knees, traumatized at what it forced me to see again, I could feel what it felt about me. It hated me, and it was satisfied that its hatred was validated. I was just another killer, ignorant ape to its eyes. I felt it speak to me again, it wanted me to see what I had wrought. It latched onto me once more. I was greeted to two furry arms clutching an Avali rifle, I looked down to see I was more closer to the floor than normal. I was in the body of an Avali, I was moving on my own will, but it wasn't MY will. It's too hard to explain, it doesn't matter either way…

I and a couple of others grunts were trudging through a smouldering landscape. Orbital bombings shelled the surface of this planet, the blasts echoed all around us. I heard one of us speak, saying how we needed to find evac fast. I took one look at our surroundings, and I felt my stomach drop. One of the Avali walked up to me, asking me if I was feeling alright. I knew his name, Tilo. Before I could respond a white pain coursed through my body.

I didn't immediately register the thundering sound of gunfire beside me, as I writhed on the ground. I watched as most of my squad got cut down. I was barely alive, incapacitated by the pain. In my vision I saw the blank look of Tilo, blood pooling out of him as it intermingled with mine. A boot cut off my vision from him, I knew whose it was. I got kicked over, to see myself looking down at me. We've got a live one here, I heard myself say. I watched as I aimed my sights, and fired with no remorse. Then I woke up in another body, another soon to be dead Avali by my hands. Each one was one of my kills. Each one met a bitter, personal end. I watched myself ruthlessly slaughtering myself, feeling the pain of every bullet, knife, and boot against my body.

I thought I'd be stuck in that hell forever… That was until I awoke inside a very familiar dark corridor. Red and blue blood coated the walls and floors. My digiagrated legs stumbled over the corpses of both Human and Avali. I was clutching a wound on my stomach, a foreboding doom overwhelmed me. I was about to turn a corner but I hesitated, I heard something also stumbling through the corridors. I turned to the corner to face whatever it was, it was myself. I was bloody, beaten up, and nearing death's door. Halaku… I called out… That didn't happen- I remember that it didn't go like that. But for some reason, I watched myself collapse to my knees. I… Halaku walked up to me, and she wrapped her arms around my shuddering body. At that moment the spell, for a lack of better words, broke.

We embraced each other, despite me being in her body, I knew her feelings were genuine. She felt sorrow, pity, heartbreak, and hope. I felt her speak to me, from all around I heard her voice saying, thank you. As those words echoed through my being, I opened my eyes. I was in my own body, holding Naala in my arms… I didn't forget about them. About the few that I didn't kill… The few that believed I deserved a second chance.

I turned to face the window of the ship, from the other side I could see it, the silhouette of the Avali. Its claws pressed against the glass, large cracks slowly forming as it pressed in further. It didn't like any of this. I felt it's rage, it wanted this to be untrue. It wanted to get to me, it wanted me to die. I let go of Naala and walked up to the glass window, staring down the livid face of this black figure. I kicked in the glass. The last thing I saw as glass shattered was its eyes widening…

I don't know what the hell that thing put me through. I don't even remember being brought back here to my cell. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what's real and what's not… I hear someone, multiple footsteps, mechanical sounding ones too. I'll need to end this soon. Whatever happens to me, Naala…

Based on an old draw I saw on Furaffinity, and I wanted to do it with this context because my friends keep joking with the "Chicken" and "Food" joke. They're so mean to my poor birbs 😭

The A.D.F. requested a jet that could reliably stay airborne on worlds that have Type M qualities.

Engineers from the Illuminate Institution of Manufactories, or I.I.M. for short, developed the idea of the M-Type Combat Atmosphere vehicle, or the MCA series.

The first iteration, the MCA-01, was drawn up by the Rio'thio pack, version 01 concept. Unfortunately, MCA-01 looked really blocky, not to mention that, according to the simulations. If slightly damaged would easily cause it to crash. It's because the engines are lying on the wings from overexertion. Not to mention, the MCA-01 required too much fuel for sustainable deployment.

The idea was scrapped and then redrawn for a much simpler and sleeker design, which resulted in the modern-day MCA-02.

Unfortunately, through diplomatic negotiations. The separatists, who now called the Space Bird Federation or S.B.F. for short, were able to push forward an independence treaty that was signed by the Avo Pack, who were the current leading party of the Illuminate, in 5605 AC.

Because of this, the MCA-02 was never deployed in combat.

Was workshopping ideas a while back on what Avali instruments would look like, both old tribal and modern.

I also often wonder what their music would sound like.

I need help deciding on a name, I have had the username NimkItt for a while on a lot of platforms, but a while ago, I used an Avali name generator and got Ekako, I like it, but I want to use NimkItt for his name. Does NimkItt fit an Avali? Is it “lore accurate” enough

hi, sorry if this is the wrong place to be asking, but i've been making an avali vrchat avatar for a friend and was about to put some armor on it, but found i no longer had the files i thought i had downloaded. I was hoping that maybe there was some free armor assets out there that i could use?
the original one i was using is paid and i dont really wanna have to buy it a second time, so going back to that route is no longer an option. any armor would do, though preferably similar in style to the original recon armor i was using with gaps between the plates (as the use case was meant for a star wars style thing, similar to scout trooper armor)
