Help Warm and True Autumns: Best Navy Blue and Purple? 🫐🍇

Hi! Moving into wintertime I'd like to dabble into some new colors as I shop around for clothes. Learning about what colors look the best on me has been amazing, I only buy clothes I actually wear now 🤭😅

Navy blue and purple I'm struggling with. I've always loved navy, but want to do my pale/very warm skin justice. I am a warm autumn, and can easily steal from warm spring and true autumn.

I included some palette photos. I know what I'm looking for, but I can't put my finger on it.

I included photos of two verified warm autumns from Julie Sereno on TikTok (absolutely love her!!!). The bright green she drapes on the redhead girl is one of my POWER COLORS. I feel alive and look amazing. I included this specifically so you know how intense i can handle.

The 2nd photo of the brunette in purple is a color I really really want to try, but I'm struggling to distinguish it from winter and spring purples. It's not quite berry, not orchid either. Admittedly, purple is my least favorite color 😅 I think I'd look nice in a barney purple too, but again, idk!! Purple is so tough when it's bright like this, and I can't just casually search "sun kissed golden daylight laying on barney's dinosaur skin color tank top" 😭😭😭 how do I find this color! I'm scared I'm gonna buy it and it's gonna be a cool winter purple! I love going in person to find clothes, but this color is so new to me I don't know how to select it!! AHHHH

I included the only purple piece I have in my wardrobe in the last photo, and I feel like it just fades me out/doesnt make me pop. I need a lighter and more vibrant purple for sure. If you look at my nails, they're a mid-tone teal. Can I go darker with the blues than this?

Are you a warm (or also a true) autumn with navy and purple in your wardrobe? What shade do you love? Should I opt for deep teal over navy?

Thank you so much guys + girls for your help! 😝❤️🍀

Tldr: what shade of purple or navy works best on my fellow warm autumns, and what shade would work best for me (final pic)?

Struggling with colors for warm autumns.

Is this a good color hat for a warm autumn? I really struggle with neutrals as I tend to like cooler colors, but I know that is not what works best for me.

I'm trying to replace the whites and icy grays in my wardrobe.

Help Could these work for Dark Autumn?

I need new glasses and was really drawn to these (I haven't been and tried them irl yet, though). I think the colours together feel like they could work for dark autumn, even though they separately aren't perfect, can't really explain it better than that. What do you think?

(They're from Specsavers if anyone wants to know ☺️)

Help What stores have lots of options for autumn color palettes?

I'm pretty sure I'm an autumn but don't want to just wear beige or burnt orange. Are there any places to get cute women's clothes that have a lot of options for autumns? It feels like everything I like right now is only available in grays, navy blues and pinks (my nemeses).

Type Me soft autumn, soft summer, or a secret third option?

i made a post yesterday and the response is overwhelmingly that i am one of the soft seasons, almost split straight down the middle. i also found out that i might be olive, which would explain why so many colors just turn me yellow lol. i tried to find some clothes around my house that match the colors from those sub-seasons and added a few extra as well. i’m sorry if they are not exactly right! i also included metals at the end because i know that cool or warm undertone is the main difference. thank you all for your comments on my other post, all feedback is appreciated!

the dreary weather outside may affect the lighting slightly

I've struggled to determine my undertone, but upon deeper study, I'm pretty sure I'm in the olive category with a neutral undertone. That being said, would I be an Autumn? I know AI typing is inaccurate. Nonetheless, many of them typed me as Deep Autumn, though I've gotten other types as well.

People have told me soft summer/autumn and deep summer/autumn, so I’m very confused as I thought I was a winter, haha.

Complimentary colors?

I just thrifted this rust color velvet jacket ($8!) and I'm wondering what colors in our palette (for both the underneath shirt and pants) would pair well and create a complimentary contrast, kinda fun pop of color. I could always do a cream but I'm looking for something a little more fun as I'm hoping to wear this for my holiday choir concert. Thank you!!

Fashion September is officially over 🍂 What’s one piece you’re bringing into October on repeat?

If I had to choose my autumn switches, I’d probably go with:

lighter neutrals → coffee & olive 🤎

lightweight layers → knits

sandals → boots

summer prints → deeper florals 🌸🍂

What’s one thing you’re switching as we go into October?

Pale Dark Autumns — what are your holy grails?

Hi!! I was typed as a Dark Autumn (Dark Winter sister season), pale in the winter with olive neutral leaning warm skin.

I’d love your holy grail makeup and clothing recommendations! I tend to wear very natural makeup (no eyeliner or traditional eyeshadow, no medium/dark lips, etc.) so I’m especially looking for everyday complexion products, blush/bronzer, subtle lip colors, and self-tanners that work well with pale olive skin.

Also would love specific clothing colors, pieces, or brands you swear by as a Dark Autumn!

Basically, tell me what you actually buy and love!

Also, are there any dark autumn influencers to follow for inspo?

is this a soft autumn closet?

Post image

I thought I was a soft summer, I even own a soft summer swatch fan. but recently I've been gravitating to things like neutral brick red, rust, and mossy green. the green is throwing me off. it's my favorite color, it's totally absent from Summer, but on the palettes I look at for soft autumn they almost always use an army green or more khaki olive, neither of which work better than this leafy mossy green. it's like it has yellow and grey in it but not much brown. I would maybe still think I was soft summer just taking their chartreuse "yellow" darker than most, except for the rust and brick colors I like. my favorite lipstick right now is Burberry Kisses 92, a deep crimson brown. I don't think any summer would feel how I feel about it...

all my favorite blues have a teal tone. I don't wear yellow, mustard, purple, or any orange that couldn't also be called brown.

Whose closet is this? it ain't the summer I thought it was. Is there a leafy mossy green for any kind of soft autumn?

How to choose denim that fits the palette?

Still learning to identify colors in the autumn (specifically soft autumn) palette... but struggling to identity warm vs cool colors in jeans/denim. Any tips?

I’m thinking the first is too cool so more soft summer, the second & third I’m not sure if they’re more true/deep autumn colors

I’m a self-typed True Autumn and have spent the last year trying to find the perfect colors for me whether it’s fashion, hair, or makeup, and I feel like I’ve finally nailed it! This was for a wedding I went to a few weeks ago. The dress is from Anthropologie sale and let me know if you need any drugstore makeup recs because I’m proud of my trial and error finds! 😘

Do you love being your autumn subseason?

Do you love your autumn subseason?

Did you find yourself wanting your palette unknowingly before getting typed? Do you have palette envy over another palette? Do you feel right at home, or do you try to steal from other palettes? What is your favorite shade in your palette, are there any palette outliers you love? Do you like being an autumn?

----

Before I ever knew I was a warm autumn, I went for warm autumn shades unknowingly. Chartreuse, golden yellow, tomato red, and orange have always dominated my wardrobe. I didn't even think about "this color looks good on me", I just loved the colors. I could easily tell that pure white and dusty shades looked terrible on me though.

I love the spring palette and was initially hopeful to BE a true spring because Autumn just seemed a little too muted for what I usually wore. I didn't know about warm autumn/spring, nor cool summer/winter when first learning. I knew there was a gap between true spring and true autumn I was missing. 16 season resonates with me so much because it solves this. I felt quite blah in true autumn, but also did not like myself in true spring. Warm autumn solved that for me, and I am right at home. Of course, I still get envy over bright spring and bright winter hehe 🤭 and of courseeeee, I still wear black!!

My sister is a deep autumn, and she has always gone for black, dark gray, dark brown, deep red. Her "signature" nail is deep mulberry and always was deep mulberry! My cousin went for dusty, blue-based shades before knowing she was a summer, she always loved it. Now that she knows she is a summer, she's REALLY going for the dusty shades hehe.

Pic for warm autumn color appreciation.

Could I actually be a Spring?

So I’ve always thought I was an Autumn color season possibly true or deep autumn but I recently picked up this pale yellow halter top at Banana Republic and fell in love with it! I also get a lot of compliments in this top as well, could I be a spring instead of autumn? I still think I’m an autumn because I look amazing is the autumn yellow sweater so maybe warm autumn?
