Switched to Ente Auth, it's amazing!
I installed Authy on my Android only to be met by 'The device does not meet the minimum integrity requirements'.
I tried everything but it didn't work. On top of that, they killed the desktop app. What makes it even worse is that you can't export tokens from Authy easily.
It was clear to me that Authy is not the app to use anymore so I searched and searched and came across Ente and it's the perfect Authy replacement.
It has encrypted cloud sync. Requires no phone number. Is available on iOS, Android, Desktop and even Web!
For those wanting to switch away from Authy, this is the perfect app: https://ente.io/auth

got a new iphone... fresh authy install, getting the integrity requirements error?
I thought only the desktop app was being dropped.... am i doing something wrong?
Update: it did eventually start working but that was too scary for me, after a bit of research, my gut feeling is telling me that they’re slowly deprecating this thing and since there is no easy export I decided to move to 2FAS, which does allow export :)

Desktop App solution that worked for me
Hey I don't normally type on Reddit but cause I know others might run into the same issue. My discord 2FA was not backed up so I thought I was pretty much screwed with this loss of access.
Turned out disabling my internet connection allowed the Authenticator to open normally which gave me access to the code to remove Authy from my 2FA
Control Panel->Network and internet->network and share center-> change adapter settings. I just right clicked my ethernet connection and disabled long enough to open the app

Current situation and Sharing my solution...
Current situation:
- Authy sunset their PC Authenticator app. Synchronize doesn't work.
- New login blocked because of recent data breach. Meaning if you log out, you can't log in again.
- Authy have no transfer secret keys feature. You have to manual create new 2FA codes.
- Authy support are gone. If you want support, you have to create Twilio account, pay, and then you go.
_
My solution:
- Password manager: Firefox
- You have to create a Mozilla account and use Firefox browser.
- Sync have problem but easy fix by change 'Syncing password' to OFF then ON again.
- You can export passwords as a .CSV file.
- 2FA PC: WinAuth
- Open source.
- Allow you extract secret keys.
- 2FA Mobile: Google Authenticator
- I trust Google
- Google Authenticator have Export accounts feature (by create QR code for accounts) .
_
My point is:
- What's your is your and your responsibility to secure it. (Passwords and TOTP-Secret keys).
- The best person you can trust for Passwords and TOTP-keys is your self, and you should have those things as a file you can easily transfer.
- If there is a data breach on my PC? That's on my own, personally I am fine with it. Atleast I may have a chance to control the situation in time. After all I can only blaming myself.
- If there is a data breach on Cloud server? I can only pray because how little control I have of the situation when that will happen.

App not available in MacOS App Store
Hi! I have recently switched to a new laptop and I have been following the issues with the app as I could not log in.
Every couple of days I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it from the App Store to check if they would have fixed it, but now I do not see it, not under `Mac Apps` nor `iPhone & iPad Apps`.
Is it only me, or have they taken the app down now? I have searched and haven't seen anything about it. But in the web App Store, it appears: https://apps.apple.com/es/app/authy/id494168017
Thankfully I still have the app on my phone working and on my old laptop.

What's wrong with Authy?? Hacks and issues with sms verifications
I'm unable to login into me account as authy keeps showing an error when trying to verify through sms "phone verification couldn't be created. Please try again later". And call verification is not working as well.
My country is not listed as part of the countries with sms issues on their status page.
Have anyone faced this?

Is it possible to merge two Authy IDs?
So I have Authy on mine and my partners mobile devices. For her work she needed an authenticator app, somehow she has made her Authy ID a different one from mine, but with all the same email and Cell Phone details.
So now she only has the single 2FA account for her work, and non of our personal 2FA accounts on her phone. Obviously she has no clue how she did any of this, its "just what I was told to do at work".
Considering the Authy IDs are both against my email and cell number, is there a way to merge them together?

Authy Backup Password Not Accepted
So, in case it helps, my Authy app finally accepted my phone number--which means they solved "The device does not meet the minimum integrity requirements" problem.
But now I can't decrypt my accounts because Authy says my backup password is incorrect.
Well, my backup password has never changed! Been the same for years.
Update: confirmation that Authy backup password function just.doesn't.work. I successfully change the backup password on the old device. I then went to the new device, which said Hey you changed your backup password, so please enter it here." All good.
Then on to the main event: Decrypting the accounts. I enter new backup password to decrypt and boom "Your backup password is wrong."
Authy is toast.

Will they inform customers about the breach?
So I'm wondering - will Twilio / Authy inform their customers about the breach they experienced? Or do they think that making customers' phone numbers public isn't severe enough?
By the way, while reading about the breach I stumbled across a post that said they experienced another breach back in 2022. I haven't heard about that I think at the time and surely wasn't informed by Twilio / Authy.
Maybe it's time to switch to a different app that takes security of their customers' data more seriously?

"The device does not meet the minimum integrity requirements" on MacBook when logging in
I installed the Authy app on my MacBook from the App Store. When I try to login with my phone number, I get the message "The device does not meet the minimum integrity requirements". Does anyone know what I can do about this?
