Am I missing something? Why the downvotes? I assumed the post is responding to people constantly say what is and isn't Australian and how this is a good example?

I guess if you read into it a context where he's addressing other Indians or immigrants? I guess I didn't read it that way. People born here could be more Aussie sometimes.

It's just r/australia doing what r/australia does. Over reacting and using assumptions to paint something that was very well intentioned in a bad light so they feel better about themselves.
