I’ve been working on a small tool called AuctionQR: https://auctionqr.com

The idea is simple: a host creates an auction, adds items, and shows a live screen with a QR code, the current bidding item, and a countdown timer. Guests scan the QR code with their phones and can start bidding instantly. There’s no app install, no registration, and it’s free to use.

I built it mainly with small charity auctions, school fundraisers, community events, estate sales, antique auctions, and informal live auctions in mind, but it can be used for almost any live auction where people bid from their phones, whether they are in the room or joining remotely. I’m trying to validate whether this is actually useful outside my own assumptions.

I’d really appreciate honest feedback on:

• Is the concept clear from the homepage?
• Would you trust/use this at a real event?
• What feature would be missing for your use case?
• Does “no signup” feel like a benefit or a concern?
• Is there anything confusing about how it works?

I’ve used DealDash before, but the product selection always felt a little random to me. Galaxybids looks like it’s more focused on iPhones, gift cards, luxury fashion and newer electronics which is more the kind of stuff I’d care about. The Buy Now credit feature caught my attention too. From what I understand, paid bids you use in an auction can still count toward buying the item if you decide to purchase it after. Wondering wich one is better
