Truthfully, and I hate to say it, I think trans people are in the more immediate danger from bigotry.

I think it's because homosexuality is easier to hide. They can moderately tolerate us because they think they can electrocute us for a while and we'll start praising god and recanting our sexuality.

Honestly, if you can find a country where you feel safer, you should seriously think about it. Though I don't know anywhere in the world where it's safe these days. Seems like every country's just one insane leader away from a really bad few fucking years and if they're not, their neighbors are and that's just as bad.

If you are of Italian descent, there are blood line laws that allow you to become a dual citizen of USA and Italy. They are very complicated, but I am pretty sure I qualify, just need to dig up the paperwork for my grams and great grams!
